Fourth Street Clinic in Utah

Each year, the Fourth Street Clinic in Salt Lake City provides a broad array of primary and ancillary health care services to thousands of individuals who experience homelessness.

When it comes to health, homeless individuals are particularly vulnerable, often turning to emergency rooms when there is no other recourse for care. Fourth Street Clinic addresses this by offering 60 on-site health care and support service components and 10 specialty clinics — with 210 specialists available at no cost to patients.

To improve its services, the Clinic has integrated behavioral health and primary health care and added a medical social worker, an advanced practice psychiatric nurse and a volunteer psychiatrist to the team of primary care providers. And to increase efficiencies, the Clinic is in the process of going entirely paperless.

With a $10,000 grant from The Regence Foundation, the Clinic will continue its important work.
