Our Programs: Building Healthier Communities

Nationally, 45 million people go without health insurance, 22 million working poor do not qualify for government programs and 14 million who do qualify for government programs, haven’t applied. The Regence Foundation’s Building Healthier Communities program area addresses core problems in our health care system, with a particular focus on:
  • Health Care Access: Safety net clinics and insurance access programs.
  • Health Care Connections: General health care programs and work that is innovative and solves community health problems.
