In funding programs to build healthier communities, The Regence Foundation aims to increase access to medical care for those who cannot afford it, while delivering and coordinating care with innovative methods that improve outcomes and address disparities in care.
We support collaborative programs that are addressing the causes of our broken health care system. We believe in transforming health care and promoting the development of new tools that overcome practical barriers to safe, quality care and encourage deeper engagement. And we champion the innovators who demonstrate what a truly transformed health care system can be.
Specifically, we provide grants to aid nonprofit organizations serving communities throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah. We carefully research projects and award grants as part of our two funding tracks: Building Healthier Communities and Sojourns (end-of-life care). Results are also tracked to measure the benefits provided to the communities served.
