To be eligible for a Regence Foundation grant, organizations must meet the following criteria:
The organization’s mission closely aligns with the Foundation’s mission.
The organization is pursuing activities directly related to one of the Foundation’s two program areas: Building Healthier Communities and Sojourns. Please note, if you are interested in Building Healthier Communities funding, you must first take this Eligibility Quiz.
The organization can provide a clear explanation of desired outcomes and measurement, with facts or details about how it will deliver a high impact, sustainable benefit and attract continued support from a variety of sources.
The organization is serving residents of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and/or Utah.
What We Fund
Organizations that are nonprofit and tax-exempt under 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Service Code (IRC) and are defined as a public charity under 509(a) 1, 2, or 3 (types I, II, or a functionally integrated type III)
Accredited schools or universities
Units of government/public agencies
What We Do Not Fund
Capital construction
Award dinners, athletic events, competitions, special events or tournaments
Conferences or seminars
Religious organizations (for religious purposes)
Political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns
Grants to individuals
Grants to 509(a)3, type III supporting organizations that are not functionally integrated
Wheeler, Oregon’s Rinehart Clinic serves a rural region that has an acute shortage of health care providers. The Regence Foundation grant will help implement an Electronic Health Records system to maintain its more than 2,000 active patient records.
