About the Foundation

The Regence Foundation is the corporate foundation of The Regence Group, a not-for-profit independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

Our Mission
The Regence Foundation is committed to building healthier communities, transforming health care and supporting end-of-life issues.

Our History
The Regence Foundation was established as a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code in late 2007, with the first grant activity taking place in first quarter of 2008.

The Foundation was created to serve as the primary vehicle for philanthropic contributions across a four-state region: Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Utah

Our Goals:
  • Provide grants to aid nonprofit organizations in furthering their work in our three core program areas: Building Healthier Communities, Transforming Health Care and End-Of-Life.
  • Support programs that encourage collaborative and innovative outcomes in health care.
  • Carefully research projects, track results and award grants that provide the greatest benefits in Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Utah.
